UnitedHealthcare Hearing Benefit Overview
- No-cost hearing exam & consultation through Hear Florida™.
- $0 to low copays on major brand name and UnitedHealthcare’s Relate® private label hearing aids.
- 60-day trial period for hearing aids*
- Manufacturer warranty and Loss & Damage coverage**
- Follow-up care included (number of visits depends on your UHC plan)

Covered Services and Materials Defined
UnitedHealthcare Hearing offers members bundled models that includes the following:
- Comprehensive hearing test
- Hearing aid selection, programming and fitting
- Hearing aid(s) with warranty coverage: brand-name devices include a 4-year manufacturer warranty (Loss & Damage coverage included); Relate® private-label devices include a 3-year manufacturer warranty
- Earmolds if required
- Hearing aid purchases include a one-year supply of batteries for all technology levels except Premium
- Premium level and brand products: Members will receive five (5) annual supplies, with first year’s supply shipped after the end of the trial period
- Batteries are supplied on an annual basis and will last 12 months for most users1
- Receivers, tubes, and tips if applicable
- Up to three (3) follow-up visits2 after the trial period, within one (1) year of dispensing (excluding AARP Hearing Solutions provided by UnitedHealthcare Hearing through credentialed providers such as Hear Florida™)
Important: All covered services and materials are plan dependent and may require authorization. Benefits, limitations, deductibles, and fees vary by plan.
1 Battery cells will last most users one year based on standard hearing aid use. 2 Any type of service including, but not limited to, adjustments, reprogramming, and clean & check.
