TruHearing offers a variety of programs that a health plan can select to deliver more affordable hearing care to members. Two common models are below. Benefits vary by plan and we verify eligibility before your visit.
TruHearing Choice (Discounted Pricing)
- Eligible hearing aids: access to 100+ models from top manufacturers, including TruHearing private label hearing aids. In some cases, a patient’s benefit may allow access to a defined product list only.
- Hearing aid cost: patient pays the purchase price listed in TruHearing’s fee schedule for the model selected, less any available plan benefit/coverage.
- Hearing exams: Choice patients typically pay a plan‑determined exam copay. However, comprehensive in‑office hearing evaluations are offered free of charge at Hear Florida hearing aid centers.
TruHearing Select (Copay Program)
- Embedded benefit with low, fixed copayments that limit out‑of‑pocket costs.
- Device access: TruHearing private‑label hearing aids offered at three technology levels: premium, advanced, and standard (note: some plans may not include the standard tier).
- Hearing aid cost: patient pays the fixed copayment determined by the plan.
- Hearing exams: exam copay/coverage is plan‑determined. In‑office hearing exams are offered free of charge at Hear Florida hearing aid centers.
Other programs: Some patients may have access to benefits that differ from Choice or Select. Contact Hear Florida™ to verify plan details (device eligibility, allowances, copayments, coverage rules).
Typical Covered Services & Materials
For most TruHearing plans; specific benefits may vary by plan, program (Choice vs. Select), device type, and insurer. We verify your exact coverage and any authorizations before care.
- Risk‑free 60‑day trial with full support during the trial window
- 1 year of follow‑up provider visits at no additional charge (in‑person and remote where available)
- 3‑year manufacturer warranty including repairs and a one‑time loss & damage replacement (fees/deductibles may apply)
- Batteries for non‑rechargeable aids: typically a 1‑year supply (many plans include 80 batteries per aid); some plans ship additional batteries after the trial

- Hearing aids not included in a patient’s coverage (see Patient Overview Sheet)
- Cerumen (earwax) removal
What to Expect
Initial Appointment
At your first visit, a Hear Florida™ licensed specialist performs testing and evaluations to recommend the best solution. Exam fees, reimbursements, and collection procedures vary by plan and TruHearing program eligibility.
Hearing Aid Selection
Choice: access to a wide variety of hearing aids across styles from six leading manufacturers—Signia®, Oticon®, Phonak®, ReSound®, Starkey®, Widex®—plus TruHearing private label (unless a plan limits to a product list). Select: access to TruHearing private‑label hearing aids only. Some plans differ; see the Patient Overview Sheet for specifics.
Financing
TruHearing offers short‑term, no‑interest and long‑term financing through AllWell® by Allegro Credit®:
- No‑interest (same‑as‑cash): 6 months ($399 min.), 12 months ($399 min.)
- Standard installment (interest rate by credit score): 24 months ($399 min.), 36 months ($750 min.), 48 months ($850 min.), 60 months ($1,000 min.)
- Patients with an existing CareCredit® account may use their account
